The HP LaserJet P1006 Printer prints fast and has a great printing quality. Moreover, the printer is small, and lightweight as compared to ink jet printers. It also works well with XP and Vista.

The HP LaserJet P1006 printer is compact monochrome laser printer that prints bold, crisp text and images each and every time. It features a fast and efficient processor that offer print speeds of up to 17 ppm. And its compact, ultra-quiet design ensures that it will work quietly and efficiently, without taking up valuable work space in your home or office.

However, this printer does not work with my wireless print server because the driver does not support wireless printing at that time. What I do is that I just share the printer from the desktop in my office while I do most of my printing form my laptop. I am certainly hoping that there could be an upgrade on the firmware or the driver because this is definitely an incredible printer for such a low price.

Although a lot of people are discussing on the high costs of laser printing, it is still way cheaper compared to inkjet printing. The laser cartridges would definitely go lower after a few months in the market. There are practically more than what you have bargained for with this printer. It works quietly, fast and set-up is basically very easy. Moreover, it also produces good paper quality.

We actually have two of them at home, with the other one older. It is highly recommended to keep an extra HP toner cartridge at hand because when its consumed it goes off with no warning at all. Although the cartridge is a little expensive, it is definitely worth the quality and convenience that it offers. There is definitely nothing more that you would want in a B&W, and it is highly recommended.
