If you are in search of a laptop to replace your existing desktop, I recommend HP Pavilion DV7-1240US. It is 17.0 inch laptop, though this laptop is not as good as it should be when you are travelling because of its size and weight, but is an excellent choice as replacement for a desktop.

I am looking around for a laptop or a desktop, so I was also browsing on different sites of online shopping. However, I really wanted to see it and touch it and so the next day, I went to a computer shop and specifically ask for this kind. Before the sales assistant showed me what I was asking for my attention was caught by a laptop. Its display is great; it is a stand out among the rest of the laptop that I was looking at. I really admired this laptop at first glance. The sales assistant then caught my attention and pointed to me the very same laptop I was looking at in admiration as the laptop that I asked him to show me.

The color scheme of HP Pavilion DV7-1240US 17.0-Inch Laptop is bronze and it is really attractive. It is not only the color scheme and appearance that is great but the features too are awesome. This laptop has dual core productivity, has a processor of 2.1 GHz AMD Turion X2RM-72. There is a built –in ESATA/USB combo port which enables back up to be faster to an external drive. In order to prevent data loss, HP’s ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection locks the hard drive into place every time it senses an abrupt motion. Other features includes a 4 GB installed RAM up to 8GB maximum. It also has an ExpressCard 54 slot, quad-mode Wi-Fi and a memory card reader that is 5 in 1.

This laptop is really great; it was shipped to me in perfect condition packed quite well with air pockets all around the laptop for protection with all the accessories. Accessories include power cables, manuals and others. On top of it all, it was delivered to me on time as promised.

The screen of HP Pavilion DV7-1240US is glossy and is different from my previous one, but I like this better. The HDMI port I think is the best interface to take advantage of because of its Blu-ray ROM drive. The look is enhanced further by its color matched keyboard and touchpad which is reason for the laptops clean appearance.

This HP Pavilion DV7-1240US is really great aside from its features and appearance I am enjoying a lot watching movies on my TV while using my laptop as a player. This is because the DVD series is supported by fluid, Metalized finish and modern lines.

I strongly believed I got a fair deal in buying HP Pavilion DV7-1240US. It is 17.0 inch laptop after using it for a couple of days.
