I used the previous versions of this X200 for several years and loved everyone of it. I bought this particular one for my daughter who is going to college. Oddly enough, a 17-year old girl would opt for this business machine over dozen of much cooler-looking machines for kids. The reason was she used mine computer before and fell in love with the quality and performance. She needs a “tough built” machine to cope with the college life abuse. In this version, there are much improvement. The machine is faster even with bloated Vista OS. I particularly like the built-in camera which will come in handy for our Skype communication with our daughter. They were wise enough to keep all of the good things such as the legendary key board, the rubbery skin texture, phenomenon battery life. Some people may not like the Red key in the middle of the key board, but that is the thing I like most about Thinkpad. I would prefer this over the regular mouse anytime. Give it a try and you’ll see
